A free event to help older people in Aberdeenshire stay safe and warm this winter is being held in Oldmeldrum this week.
From The Inverurie Herald.
Royal Voluntary Service and gas distribution company SGN have teamed up to offer advice at an event following Oldmeldrum Lunch Club in the town hall on Wednesday at 1.15pm.
The Winter Wellness campaign aims to encourage all older people to stay both physically and emotionally well at this time of year.
Volunteers and professionals will be on hand at next week’s event to talk about the practical support available and a detailed leaflet will be distributed.
SGN representatives will talk about gas safety, getting gas appliances checked and carbon monoxide alarms.
Royal Voluntary Service staff members and volunteers will be there to supply information about the range of services available within the area.
