Covid vaccinations for the 75 – 79 year old cohort will start very soon with these people being directed to mass vaccination centres across Aberdeenshire.  Appointments at these centres will run initially 5 days a week (Monday to Friday) with appointment times from 8am to 8pm. 

Meldrum Bourtie and Daviot Community Council have been asked to find out if there are any volunteers who would be willing to drive people to the Inverurie vaccination centre for their Covid injection.

People will be advised to make their own way to these appointments, either by driving, public transport, or getting a lift from friends, family or neighbours.  While car sharing is not allowed for day to day use it is allowed for the purposes of attending a medical appointment (including vaccinations). 

Could you offer to drive someone who is unable to make their own way to the vaccination centre?
