We warmly invite you to join us for a cosy, candlelit yoga and meditation evening to help you relax body & mind, in comfortable surroundings. A great start to your weekend and ideal for entering winter and the festive season with warmth and stillness in your heart. Or you may be interested in developing your own meditation practice and wish to understand it better.

Meditation is an ancient practice which in very general terms, involves softening the body and stilling the mind. It’s becoming very popular and effective in Western cultures as a preventative ‘tool’ for positive mental health. Whilst we have brilliant, creative minds – our lives are full of distractions and commitments – and our head space gets incredibly busy.

Yoga postures prepare the body for stillness and meditation itself helps us arrive at a quiet, unique place within ourselves.

During the evening, we will practicing some gentle yoga asanas (postures and sequences) to build physical contentment in body (suitable for all abilities). For the more stilling aspects of the evening, we will introduce a Pranayama practice to bring awareness to the breath and improve it’s quality. This will be followed by a guided meditation introducing you to techniques you can take away for further practice at home.

This event is suitable for all abilities and if you prefer to sit on a chair or on the ground the choice is yours. No previous experience of Yoga or Meditation is necessary…just bring yourself in comfortable clothing, warm socks and your favourite blanket.

Light, warm refreshments will be provided.
