A VERY BIG THANK YOU to everyone who came along to the 4th Methlick Fund Run on Saturday 5th April.
Be you young, old, runner, walker, supporter, volunteer, your participation and contribution is most warmly appreciated.
We had 49 runners/walkers and 13 children, one of our biggest turnouts and it was a fine dry day for the run.
Though a fund run, and congratulations to all competitors, we should recognise some our first runners back –
MEN –
1 George French 30:58 (a new course record)

3 Ruaridh McAllister 38:21
4 Richard Ingram 38:30
WOMEN –
1 Choc Harris 37:29 (actually the 3rd runner back)
2= Sarah Mackie and Tamsin Morris 41:18 4 Georgie Hall 43:39
Special mention should also be made of Eve Learmouth, who at 13 years old finished the full 10km in 47:47.
While Carol Hawthorn, who has a few years on Eve finished with a time of 56:01.
Having been fortunate enough to travel to Kenya in 2011 and visit the homes and see the role provided by New Life I know just how important the Trust is to the well being and future of the children they care for. All the money raised from this event goes directly to the children in the Trust’s care.So far this year we have raised a fantastic £1,800 and it is truly overwhelming to see our wee event raise such a sum. So from me personally and from the children of New Life homes thank you all so very much.Stuart Kennedy (Organiser)with one of the reasons for the Methlick Fund Run! 2014 a great success – and looking for more particpants next year.
