Since the publication of the community consultation questionnaire in July of last year,  the community council with support from the Formartine partnership (a local community support organisation) and Aberdeenshire Council through their Community Planning Officer, to collect and now analyze the results.

The team of local community representatives who were the working group met on Tuesday 10th January to go through the raw data and decide what the next steps are.

There were hundreds of returns and many comments which will be sorted into possible action points and ideas that will be prioritised at a future public session where all local people will be invited to finalise the plans’ priorities.

A further meeting on the 25th of January will identify the responses and possible actions then the meeting will set the date which will be announced in February.  We hope a large turnout from local people will help us construct our town plan which will inform Aberdeenshire Council and other government partners, of what local people consider priorities for Oldmeldrum town and district.  It is hoped to have a separate session for the residents of Daviot, as there are significant differences in priorities as a distinct village with different structural and social needs.
