Aberdeenshire Council has announced that a number of floral tribute locations are available across Aberdeenshire, following the death of Her Majesty The Queen.

In Oldmeldrum, floral tributes may be left at the grassy area alongside the gates to the new cemetery opposite Meldrum Kirk. The Oldmeldrum, Bourtie & Daviot Community Council will place a wreath at the designated location.

For residents in Daviot, the Minster, Mary Cranfield, has suggested that floral tributes be left at the Bell Tower gable end of the church near the War Memorial.

The Council have asked that only floral tributes are left and not toys, candles or other items.

In the interests of safety, we would respectfully ask that flowers are laid at the designated location and not left near the road as they could post a significant risk to other road users.

A virtual book of condolence has been opened by the Royal household and can be found at https://www.royal.uk/send-message-condolence
