The Mid-Formartine Fairtrade group have raised over a £1000 for cancer charity JACK alongside the Kilted Chef, Craig Wilson. The Udny Green event was packed with all tickets sold.
The enthusiastic crowd were entertained by Craig Wilson’s culinary talent and with commentary and sharp with from Radio Scotland presenter, Mark Stephen.
The whole event revolved around Fairtrade food ingredients as part of Fairtrade Fortnight. Students from the food and nutrition course at Meldrum Academy were part if the fun with a teach in against the clock. Finally, a wheel of fortune of Fairtrade ingredients entertained the audience as Craig had to use the ingredients in the creation of two dishes in a matter of minutes. It was a brilliant finale for the evening.
For Mid Formartine Fairtrade Group, Anne Aspden said “This event was a huge success in raising the profile of Fairtrade in the Mid Formaretine Area. All that as well as a very enjoyable evening.
