ROUNDABOUT-2016Developers Malcolm Allan Housebuilders and their contractors, Hunter Construction, will begin remedial work on the Inverurie Northern Link Road (B9001 Rothienorman Road to B9170 Oldmeldrum Road) on Monday. (August 8)

The work is required to bring the road works on the new route up to standard to allow it to open to all traffic.

The works are expected to last for around 16 weeks and traffic signals will be required on the approaches to the B9001 Rothiemnorman roundabout for safety reasons.

This is likely to lead to some disruption around the area, so please be advised if you use this route.

The council had refused to accept the nearly completed roads as being not up to specifications.  A dispute between the developer and their contractors as to how to resolve the problem, led to the delays.  Plans that meet the council’s standards have now been agreed and a contract gets underway for approximately 16 weeks.
