The Community Council intend to walk the boundary of the Oldmeldrum Conservation Area. This walk will help the CC members to discuss possible changes to the boundary which may be proposed by the Aberdeenshire Council. A review of conservations areas is underway and Article Four of the act will be enforced in future. This will give planners more powers to govern what happens in these areas, including windows, which are not presently covered. Boundary changes may add some new areas and also remove others. The walk will be on Tues 21st June Meeting at the Town Hall. Weather permitting.
The advisers to the Haddo Country Park regeneration project (LUC) will be hosting an informal and interactive Community Consultation which will be a great opportunity to come along and find out about the latest developments of the £ Regeneration Project and to influence the future plans for Haddo Country Park. It will be held in the Visitor Services Officer's Portakabin in the Car Park. Put the date in your diary to pop in and have your say!

The Mid-Formartine Fairtrade group have raised over a £1000 for cancer charity JACK alongside the Kilted Chef, Craig Wilson. The Udny Green event was packed with all tickets sold. The enthusiastic crowd were entertained by Craig Wilson’s culinary talent and with commentary and sharp with from Radio Scotland presenter, Mark Stephen. The whole event revolved around Fairtrade food ingredients as part of Fairtrade Fortnight. Students from the food and nutrition course at Meldrum Academy were part if the fun with a teach in against the clock. Finally, a wheel of fortune of Fairtrade ingredients entertained the audience as Craig had to use the ingredients in the creation of two dishes in a matter of minutes. It was a brilliant finale…
