Downsizing grant to encourage tenants to move into smaller homes

Aberdeenshire Council’s Social Work and Housing Committee agreed a grant scheme for tenants who ‘downsize’ from three and four bedroom houses at a recent meeting on June 14th. Councillors gave their backing to a scheme that will provide £3,000 for tenants downsizing by one bedroom and an additional £1,000 for every further bedroom relinquished up to a maximum of £5,000. CORDINER (Oldmeldrum) Kayleigh Helen Cordiner (aged 2), fell asleep peacefully, at home in the arms of her parents, Jonathan and Anna Cordiner, on Sunday, June 17, 2012. A much loved and treasured daughter, granddaughter, great-granddaughter, niece and playmate.
