FIT A RARE DAY AT GLEN GARIOCH OPEN DAY

Glen Garioch, Scotland's now unique operating town centre distillery, threw its doors open to thank them for their support over the years. Tours of the distillery, a master class in whisky, bottle your own single malt, a photographic competition gallery and teas and coffees greeted visitors.  Many former employees took the chance of a visit to their old workplace and there were many local 'weel kent' faces. Visiting groups also took advantage of the generous event from Glen Garioch.

Standing ovation at sellout concert

Phil Cunningham and Aly Bain ended a superb gig in style at at Meldrum Academy for the 6th Year in the Schools 10 year history. A standing ovation from crowd in the sell out concert followed a great performance with many favourite tunes from Shetland, Scotland Ireland and Sweden.  Local award winning fiddlers and opening act, George and Stuart Davidson (both students at the Academy), joined the Aly and Phil on stage for a closing set. Oldmeldrum Square Public Meeting
